We’re pleased to welcome Beverley Warmington as the new Chief Executive of the Driver and Vehicle Standards Agency (DVSA). Beverley steps into the role at a pivotal moment, with a clear focus on tackling the driving test backlog and improving how learners access and complete their tests.

Beverley Warmington, DVSA CEO

Beverley brings a wealth of leadership experience from her long career in public service. Most recently she served as an Area Director at the Department for Work and Pensions, where she led large-scale operational delivery across London, Essex and Eastern England. Her track record includes driving improvements in complex, multi-site government services and managing sizeable teams to deliver results for the public.

Her appointment comes as DVSA renews efforts to reduce long waits for practical tests, a priority that affects learners, instructors and employers across Great Britain. Beverley takes on this responsibility at a time when reducing test waiting times remains one of the most pressing operational challenges for the agency.

We look forward to working with Beverley, drawing on her operational insight and commitment to public service, as the industry continues to advocate for improvements that benefit instructors and learners alike.
